The sperada or raggiera (rays in english) is an head ornament typical of the italian tradition and in particular of the Lombardy region, widely used by women during the nineteenth century. Originally it was composed of a set of large silver hairpins, a couple dozen or more, symbolizing a woman's social and civil status.
I then transferred this head ornament to current times. My raggiera is therefore a collection of different states with which we declare ourselves: but are they true or just facade?
